Over the years, the mission has endured - to support, enhance and promote UMGC and its community of students, faculty, staff and alumni worldwide. UMGC is weaved into my passion for lifelong learning.  My story with began in 1976 while stationed in Germany as an Airmen in the United States Air Force.  I continued my journey with UMGC volunteering and collaborating with many caring staff, alumni and academic philanthropists who encouraged me throughout my military and federal careers.  I am most grateful for UMGC being present in my life.  If you dream about it, UMGC can help you envision and achieve it!

It hardly seems possible that it's been 25 years since I served as the Alumni Association president. Memorable events included hosting delegates at the State House in Annapolis to inform and involve in our mission, coordinating the 50th anniversary celebration with our colleagues in Heidelburg, Germany, establishing connections with our alumni through a new website, participating in graduation ceremonies, mentoring students, increasing levels of giving, and so much more.
