The Annual Alumni Awards recognize alumni who enrich the UMGC community.

The UMGC Alumni Association's Annual Alumni Awards recognize alumni who enrich the UMGC community through their intellectual, social, cultural, and service contributions.

Congratulations to UMGC's 36th Alumni Award Recipients

For 36 years, the UMGC Alumni Association has been honoring the best and brightest in the UMGC community with the UMGC Alumni Awards. This program recognizes some of our most successful alumni for their achievements, service and engagement in their careers and communities.

Richard Weiblinger Commissions New Artwork for Recipients

The Alumni Association and UMGC Arts Program commissioned artist Richard Weiblinger to produce a unique piece of art for the alumni award recipients. The image captures a quiet pier on the Maryland eastern shore extending into still waters, its reflection mirrored below. At the pier’s end, a small gathering of birds rests—a symbol of purpose, perspective, and community.

Like this image, this year’s award recipients create impact that extends far beyond a single moment or achievement. The pier reflects their steady commitment to progress and lifelong learning, while its mirrored image represents the lasting influence they have on families, workplaces, and communities.
