This summer marks the start of the next term of your UMGC Alumni Association Advisory Board. Leading the 2017-2019 UMGC Alumni Association Advisory Board is Philip Callahan ’66.
A graduate of the UMGC Munich, Germany Campus, Callahan is the director of The Vertrag Consultancy, a group of small entrepreneurial companies working in the government and international exporting markets. A Viet-Nam era veteran, Callahan served in the 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard) at Arlington National Cemetery. A nationally known speaker and seminar producer, he is also a chair holder in Colour Marketing Group and a workshop leader in SCORE. Callahan has been an active member of the UMGC alumni community and previously served as the Senior Vice President of the 2015-2017 UMGC Alumni Association.

Callahan regularly attends UMGC volunteer events such as Operation Welcome Home where students, alumni, faculty and staff welcome home troops from overseas. Since December 2014, he has acted as a mentor in UMGC's Alumni Career Mentor Program. In 2014, Callahan received an Achiever Award from UMGC for his volunteer work and contributions back to the alumni community.
