How to Participate
UMGC students, alumni, faculty and staff can participate in Homecoming 2023 by registering for one of this year’s global celebrations. Whether you are joining during one of the in-person events in the USA, Germany, or Okinawa, or joining one of nine Homecoming Open Houses, this year’s Homecoming celebrations offer many ways to connect. Unable to make it to an in-person celebration? For the first time ever, Homecoming will reach beyond the world we know and venture into the UMGC Metaverse - an immersive 3D virtual experience where you can join a shared space using an avatar through a computer, tablet, mobile device, or virtual reality headset.

Networking Opportunities
UMGC Homecoming 2023 offers multiple ways for you to network with your global UMGC community this fall. In addition to Homecoming celebrations, we invite you to join us on Monday, October 16 from 7–8 p.m. Eastern for the Virtual Networking Hour hosted in the UMGC Metaverse. Join us to connect with UMGC faculty and staff from your academic school — Business, Cybersecurity and Information Technology, and Integrative and Professional Studies. During the Virtual Networking Hour, you will:
- Create your avatar and enjoy exploring the virtual networking lounges.
Expand your network by connecting with fellow UMGC students, alumni, faculty and staff.
Learn how your UMGC academic schools are continuing innovative work to empower and improve our community.
